Apprenticeship Information

Benefits to Becoming an Apprentice

  • Learn valuable skills while earning progressively increasing wages!
Construction jobs are family wage jobs with good benefits. The construction industry pays wages while the craft is being learned. Apprentices earn a percentage of journey level wages. Typically, apprentices start at about 50% of the journey worker wage. Journey level wages range from $14 – $22 (or more) per hour.

  • If you go into construction you have a career for life.
Skills can be easily transferable to a variety of careers within the industry, including craft workers, supervisors and project managers, industry support staff, as well as design and engineering personnel.

  • Career Opportunities exist in both rural and urban areas.

  • Construction skills are employed throughout the United States and everywhere in the world.
