Since 1991, these savings in upfront discounts and retro returns have been earned and paid nearly every year. Participating members have received retro returns that average over 22%, with over $196 million paid out since the program’s inception.Â
- $.4 million (1.2%) paid in 2021 for the 2019-2020 plan year retro return
- 5% upfront discount for the 2021-2022 plan year
- $210 million paid in 2021 in additional dividends for policies ending in 2020
