Small Business Growth Opportunity Council

The Small Business Growth Opportunity Council (SB-GO!) assists in promoting and developing minority, women, and small businesses.

As SB-GO! looks to the future, the goal is to facilitate building bridges to opportunities for its members. SB-GO! will focus on five key action areas associated with small business: relationships, education, partnerships, member recruitment/engagement, and advocacy.

Meeting Frequency

Four times each year, immediately following the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME) Contractors, Ar Committee meeting on the second Friday of each month. Meetings are held at the OAME Center, 4134 N Vancouver Ave., Portland.

How to Get Involved

Open to all chapter members and is often attended by non-members.

Overcoming Obstacles: Best Practices for Subcontractors, General Contractors, and Public Agencies

The SB-GO! Council tackled some general issues with doing business in the construction industry. From nearly two years of meetings comes a whitepaper, with suggestions and tricks to be more profitable and successful.
