Government Affairs

Construction at the CapitolAGC’s Government Affairs Department is focused on protecting the commercial construction industry’s interests at the state level of government, while working closely with AGC of America to defend the industry at the federal level. The Legislative Committee Forum develops AGC’s core policy issues which serve as a guide for all of the Government Affairs team’s work.

AGC’s Government Affairs team works closely with a broad range of elected and non-elected public officials to shape industry sensitive legislation and regulations that impact how the industry conducts its day-to-day business. The AGC Oregon-Columbia Chapter PACs constitute the political arm of the chapter and engage in the following political activities: 1) support candidates seeking public office, and 2) support or oppose issues or ballot measures that have a significant impact on the construction industry.

  • Read through the core policy issues for additional information on AGC’s legislative priorities and goals.
  • Access our Political Action Center to find ways to make your own voice heard through contacting your local legislators.
  • Visit the AGC Blog for the most current legislative news.
