Rose Award logoEvery contractor works hard to keep employees safe, but too often those successes go unrecognized. The AGC Oregon-Columbia Chapter’s Recognition of Safety Excellence Awards (ROSE) and the AGC of America’s Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) provide an opportunity to highlight the programs, culture, and leadership that make safety a core value within your organization. The ROSE Award recognizes chapter leaders in safety excellence, while the CSEA program recognizes the nation’s top construction safety and health programs. Successful applicants demonstrate management commitment, employee involvement, innovative safety initiatives, effective hazard control, and a strong safety culture.

Participating in these award programs offers benefits beyond the possibility of winning. The application process itself serves as a valuable self-evaluation tool, helping companies document achievements, identify strengths, and discover opportunities for continued improvement. Many past participants report that preparing an application helped them strengthen their overall safety programs and better communicate their commitment to safety throughout their organizations.

If you are considering applying, the most important first step is attending the ROSE/CSEA Pre-Application Seminar. The seminar is designed to help prospective applicants understand both award programs, navigate the application process, and learn tips and techniques to strengthen both applications and presentations. Past participants share support, guidance, and lessons learned to help companies put their best foot forward.

The 2026 ROSE/CSEA Pre-Application Seminar will be held online on September 2 at 1 pm. Click here to register. ROSE Award applications are due October 1, 2026, and CSEA applications are due December 31, 2026.
