What is a project the JE Dunn has been key part of?

JE Dunn began construction on the long-awaited Multnomah County Health Department Headquarters (Gladys McCoy Building) in February of 2017. The new nine-story Headquarters is approximately 159,000 SF and located in Old Town/Chinatown across the street from Portland’s Union Station. The building will house critical services, including specialty clinics, laboratory, pharmacy, and administration spaces.

The high-profile project is a collaborative effort between Multnomah County, the Portland Development Commission, Shiels Obletz Johnsen, ZGF, and JE Dunn. To support neighborhood partners and engage local businesses during construction, the project team is volunteering with the adjacent Bud Clark Commons and working closely with the Clean & Safe District to help keep the surrounding area secure. In addition, meals for meetings and events are catered through locally owned Wilfs Restaurant, housed across the street in Union Station. The Multnomah County Health Department Headquarters is a vital addition to the community and JE Dunn is excited to be a part of the collaborative team that is helping to build it.

What is one important fact about JE Dunn that you would want us to take away?

JE Dunn is invested in the communities where we live and work. The majority of our employees spend time throughout the year volunteering with organizations that foster educational and youth development, sustainability efforts, arts and cultural foundations, home and neighborhood improvements, and many more. The environment we strive for not only produces a lasting and quality product, but also encourages charitable contributions among employees.
