The contents of the technical assistance package were covered in two construction-specific seminars hosted by AGC in Redmond, Ore. and Eugene, Ore. Both seminars were led by Employment Law Attorney Leora Coleman-Fire with Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, and included a presentation of the technical assistance package followed by a question and answer session. Leora Coleman-Fire has been tracking mandatory leave laws in the Pacific Northwest and actively participating in efforts to shape those laws since discussions about paid leave began. She has written extensively on the topic and has been interviewed by The Oregonian, Oregon Public Radio’s Think Out Loud, and the Portland Business Journal.
