Fred Shearer & Sons Takes Time for Safety Break 2015

Fred Shearer & Sons take time out of their busy schedule to celebrate Safety Break 2015.

FSS3They had a big lunch for all the 100+ employees on May 13 to take a safety break. After lunch Jeff Shearer got things rolling with an explanation on what safety is to Fred Shearer & Sons, and then special guest Michael Wood, OR-OSHA administrator, spoke to the employees on the importance of safety and what safety break means to Oregon.

The safety break ended in safety awards and prize drawings.

What is Safety Break for Oregon?

Oregon OSHA coordinates this one-day event, designed to raise awareness and promote the value of workplace safety and health. The event is flexible to meet an employer’s needs and health and safety activities are determined by individual employers. As part of a genuine effort to address workplace hazards, this event provides an opportunity to remind both workers and their employers that it requires continued focus and diligence to create a workplace free from the hazards.
