Feedback Needed on OR Architecture and Construction Industry Standards

To strengthen career and technical educational (CTE) instruction statewide, the Oregon Department of Education is seeking employer input on the skills desired of entry-level job candidates in the Architecture and Construction field. Your feedback will inform the standards that CTE teachers and faculty in Oregon consult when designing coursework.

This survey asks you to rate the importance of a set of skills standards that include Foundational Standards expected of all entry-level job candidates, and standards for six career fields. You may review all or a subset of these fields, which include:

  • Architectural Design
  • Carpentry
  • Electrical
  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning
  • Masonry
  • Plumbing

Please review the Architecture and Construction Program of Study Context for information about CTE in Oregon. You may also wish to review the file Statewide CTE POS Framework to learn more about this project.

You may access the survey here: Architecture and Construction Industry Standards Survey

Please complete your review of the standards by June 25th to ensure you input is recorded.

If you have questions about the survey, please contact: Erin Flynn. For project related questions, contact Ron Dodge.

Thank you for your support of this important work.
