2020 Oregon Legislative Report

On March 5, House Speaker Tina Kotek and Senate President Peter Courtney abruptly adjourned Oregon’s 2020 Legislative Session, and in the words of the Senate president, ended “a failed session.”

As a result, only three bills passed, leaving dozens of budget and policy bills, including the deeply divisive cap and trade legislation, to be considered in future legislative sessions.
