City of Prineville Seeks DBE Information for Airport Work

The City of Prineville, owner of the Prineville Municipal Airport in Prineville, OR, is in the process of developing its Fiscal Year 2018 through 2020 goal for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation in airport construction projects.

The work anticipated during this period includes engineering design and construction for the City’s apron and taxilane construction and runway rehabilitation projects.

It is the City’s intention to collect information concerning the availability of DBEs and any barriers to their participation in construction projects.  The City has scheduled a consultation meeting at the time and location noted below and are inviting interested contractors and parties to attend and participate.  Any information or experience that can be shared will help the City determine if any adjustment to its goal calculation for the current three-year goal is needed to better foster participation by DBEs and other small businesses.

In addition, the City has requested this invitation be shared with other interested parties or associates. The City has attempted to assemble as complete a list as possible of interested parties, but recognize some may not have been included in its original announcement mailing list. However, all interested parties are welcome.

Data and comments received will be taken into consideration to determine the need for revisions to the City’s DBE program and the associated three-year DBE participation goal.  The City of Prineville will submit its proposed three-year goal to the Federal Aviation Administration with a summary of comments received.

DBE Consultation Meeting:
Date & Time:  July 19, 2018 at 1:00 pm
Location:  City of Prineville Office, 387 NE 3rd Street
Prineville, Oregon

Interested parties are encouraged to contact the City at the email address below.  An advance list of questions will then be emailed to those who have indicated an intent to attend prior to the meeting in considering the information to be discussed.

Any questions should be directed to:

(on behalf of Kelly Coffelt, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Liaison Officer)
