COVID-19 Safety Training

AGC’s self-directed, online tool offers instruction for social distancing officers as well as job site planning and disinfecting best practices. The course is available indefinitely and can be taken at any time, from any place. Employees can complete the training on a job site with internet connection, an office, or the comfort of home. Safety Training and Certification

AGC offers numerous safety training and certification programs designed to help contractors improve safety and reduce accidents, meet OSHA requirements, and meet the education needs of the construction industry. For the convenience of the contractors and employees, we plan ahead and schedule much of our training for the entire year. If the scheduled training dates do not work for you, we can put together a custom class that will meet your needs.

Silica Competent Person

Initial training for persons designated by their construction management to act as the Silica Competent Person for their site(s) or who want to learn more about the role of the competent person under the new OSHA Construction Regulation (29 CFR 1926.1153) for Respirable Crystalline Silica

Combined Confined Space Entry/Trenching & Excavation Competent Person

Learn how to recognize confined spaces/permit required confined spaces, how to evaluate the hazards in the work space, and how to control those hazards to accomplish the work required and safely exit area.

24-Hour Fall Protection

Course includes in-class, physical demonstrations and practical hands on activities
 on how to properly select, inspect, install, assemble, and use fall protection equipment. It is designed to meet OSHA and EM-385-1-1-2014 regulations and is mandatory if awarded an Army Corps project.

Confined Space Entry

Confined Space Entry Competent Person

Learn to recognize Confined Spaces/Permit Required Confined Spaces, evaluate the hazards in the work space, and control those hazards to accomplish the work required and safely exit the area.

Fall Protection Competent Person

This course will cover the fall protection requirements compliant with Oregon and Washington OSHA regulations.

Learn fundamental principles, skills, and knowledge of first aid and accident prevention, and how to respond to typical emergencies when medical assistance is delayed.

Crane Rigging & Signalperson

This one-day course covers everything in the new federal crane rule in the classroom training including the requirements for Oregon and Washington States.
