Student Outreach

AGC is passionate about developing future industry leaders and building Oregon’s construction workforce of tomorrow. Engaging students early on in their education and providing relevant resources and connections is crucial to helping students at every level build valuable relationships within the industry and realize the many career opportunities construction has to offer.

AGC Student Chapters – University

Student chapters exist at two- and four-year schools offering accredited programs in construction management, construction technology, and construction-related engineering. Students in these programs are the future leaders of construction and are eager to learn and better understand their industry. They want to gain relevant experiences and thrive on developing connections and relationships with future employers.

AGC is proud to support student chapters at two schools in our region:

K–12 Student Outreach

Through the collaborative efforts between the AGC Workforce and Professional Development Council, the Construction Workforce Coalition, and our many industry partners such as Portland Workforce Alliance, Willamette Promise, and many others, we have been able to connect with over 15,000 students at various high school career events throughout the Portland metro area and Willamette Valley each year. Student attendance and interest at these events continues to grow, and events themselves are expanding to other areas around Oregon and SW Washington.
