8-Hour Confined Space Entry The 8-Hour Confined Space course will allow the entrant, attendant, or supervisor to safely and confidently understand and evaluate the hazards and procedures associated with confined spaces. This training will help you differentiate between a permit-required confined space and a non-permit-required confined space. In addition to confined space entry procedures and hazards, this course will discuss the selection and use of personal protective equipment. Because the use of instrumentation for monitoring is also essential to any confined space operation, the instruction will address numerous types of direct-reading instruments, including their mode of operation and limitations of each type. This course will effectively address the requirements of 29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA, OAR 437-002-0146 and WAC 296-809 for confined space entry.
