Senior Superintendent O’Brien and Company is a leader in the design/build industry. We specialize in brewery, winery, hotel, restaurant and custom homes construction. We are seeking a senior superintendent to lead the team on various projects throughout the Oregon Coast. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manage various staff on multiple projects Plan and direct daily operations to ensure timely and safe completion of projects Responsible for scheduling, ensuring completion of projects, and delegate tasks Comfortable reading and interpreting drawings, project schedules, and various contract documents Understand risks and manage and make decisions appropriately Provide training to staff and engage with clients daily Work with project managers to identify schedule and costs related to project Manage time clock system and approve staff timecards Must be comfortable monitoring and tracking budgets regarding projects Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance at job sites Ensure compliance with permitted construction documents and document changes. Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Civil Engineers and any other design consultant during the construction process. Initiate and track RFI process, design revisions. Maintain trade contractor relations as well as industry related affiliates. Ensure subcontract compliance. Ensure cost control. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least five (5) years related construction management experience of large-scale multi-family projects and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have comprehensive knowledge of multi-level or mid-rise construction. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
