Men on Tower CraneThrough bi-monthly meetings held from October through June, the Safety & Health Council provides educational opportunities, construction safety information, and OSHA/OR-OSHA/DOSH/MSHA legislative direction for the Oregon-Columbia Chapter.

How to Get Involved

Open to all chapter members with an interest in safety issues

Committee Objectives

  • Provide a forum for relevant discussions on safety and health topics affecting members
  • Provide educational opportunities in safety and health to the Oregon-Columbia Chapter utilizing partners and outside resources
  • Increase safety and health awareness in the chapter
  • Identify and respond to industry safety and health issues—internally and externally
  • Provide opportunities for dialog between the Safety & Health Council and government agencies, i.e.: Oregon OSHA, Mining Safety & Health Administration, OSHA, etc.
  • Disseminate information and encourage participation in AGC award and recognition programs (PRIDE, ROSE, CSEA)
  • Inform membership of safety and health legislative issues impacting the construction industry each year—what we are doing and how they can help or get involved.

Rogue Valley Safety & Health Committee

The Rogue Valley Safety and Health Committee seeks to expand the safety and health of the construction industry in the region. Through active involvement in monthly meetings, attendees receive safety training, information, and help in finding new ways to promote safety.

Representatives or safety contacts from general contractors, subcontractors, and associates of all sizes are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Meetings are held every other month throughout the year.
