The SLCC's are fully funded through AGC's group workers' compensation programs, in partnership with SAIF Corporation. Member participants in these programs enjoy the highest service priority from the SLCCs. It is our goal to make personal contact with all participating members at least annually. AGC members who are not participating in one of our
workers' compensation programs do have access to these services on a limited basis. Safety materials, including safety videos and general safety advice are available at no charge to all AGC members.
Policy Development
AGC SLCCs work regularly with employers to develop and evaluate written safety policies and procedures. The programs developed are tailored specifically to meet the needs of individual members.
Loss Control
AGC SLCCs work with employers to review of
workers' compensation losses to determine cause and implement methods to prevent recurrences.
Industrial Hygiene Services
AGC now offers industrial hygiene service, including respirator fit test training, indoor air quality surveys, noise monitoring, training, and air sampling for chemicals including organic vapors, aldehydes, carbon monoxide, oxygen, coal tar pitch, arsenic, silica, and lead.
Pre-Job Safety Planning & Site Visits
AGC SLCCs assist employers to develop safety plans before the work begins. Then they follow-up with on-site visits to verify the operational success of adequate policies, procedures and planning. During their on-site visits, AGC SLCCs assist in hazard identification, training employees in proper procedures, and help correct hazards found.
Regulatory Compliance & Technical Interpretation
AGC SLCCs assist members with compliance issues regarding applicable safety standards, understanding the complexities of Oregon, Washington and federal OSHA regulations and providing pertinent technical interpretations. The SLCCs meet regularly with OR-OSHA representatives to discuss
members' concerns and problems.
Fully-Equipped Safety Vehicles
Each SLCC drives a safety vehicle equipped with state-of-the-art equipment as well as resources to help you bring safety to your work site. Stocked with resources such as safety manuals, sample toolbox talks, informational handouts, jobsite poster packets and safety video tapes, the SLCCs can provide these tools when and where you need it.
Education
AGC SLCCs can provide training on an individualized basis not only to your workforce labor, but to your office staff and superintendents as well. From simple toolbox training to claims management and complex regulatory requirements, AGC
SLCC's are there to assist you in becoming and remaining competitive! |
