Customized Classes

AGC realizes that theour regularly-scheduled safety training classes don't always fit the needs of all our members. To help our members provide convenient safety training opportunities for their employees, AGC will help you to customize a safety training program that works for your schedule.

Here is a list of training classes we can customize for your company:

  • OSHA 10-Hour Course

  • OSHA 30-Hour Course 

  • Crane Operator Safety Certification (eight hours)

  • Crane Operator Safety Re-certification (four hours)

  • Competent Person Training for Trenching and Excavating

  • Confined Space Entry

 

Set Up A Customized Class

Scheduling a class is easy. Here are some things to consider:

  • Number of People – AGC requires a minimum of 10 people to hold a custom class. If you don't have enough people for the class, consider contacting other businesses in your area. It may be that several companies can gather enough people to hold a good-sized class.

  • Registration – When you first schedule a class, please have an idea of the number of people who will attend. As the date of the class approaches, we will need a list of the names of people to prepare the class roster.

  • Location – If you are looking for a good place to hold the class, or would like to hold the class at your own location, there are a few things to keep in mind. All of the safety training classes require a TV/VCR, and some require an overhead projector. We might have some suggestions for good locations, but since you know your area, your own selection is preferred. If you are in the Portland area, AGC's  board room is a nice spot to hold classes. Unfortunately, the room tends to be booked up at least a month in advance, more if your class will be held on a weekend. We can check the availability of the room and may be able to schedule it for you. If the class is held outside the Portland, Salem, or Vancouver area, and additional charge may be applied for  mileage and hotel fees.
