The public policy initiatives that impact the commercial construction industry are broad and complex. AGC works hard on behalf of its members to ensure that the issues and views of the construction industry are heard and addressed in Salem. From public contracting to transportation financing, from land use to workforce development, AGC is the voice of the commercial construction industry in Salem.

AGC's public policy agenda is set and developed by the AGC Legislative Committee. The committee, chaired by Larry Sitz of Emerick Construction, meets regularly to discuss issues impacting the construction industry, and is responsible for developing the AGC Legislative Agenda.

The task of implementing the AGC Legislative Agenda is left to the AGC Legislative Affairs Manager Jessica Harris, with the help of Conkling Fiskum and McCormick. Working together, they represent the interests of the industry on a daily basis in Salem.
