Scoring: The competition is an AGC
Chapman / Scramble.
Each foursome will have partners within
the team for the entire tournament. The
lowest handicap player will be paired with
the highest handicap player, and the two
middle handicap players will be paired
together.
Each player drives on each hole.
On the second shot, each partner plays
the other person’s ball. For example: the
high handicap player plays off of their
partner’s ball (the low handicap player) and
the two middle handicap players also switch
and play their partner’s ball.
On the third shot, select the best
position from all four balls and play on
from where the best ball is. From this point
forward a normal scramble format is played
until the ball is holed out.
Once the best ball position is selected,
each player hits from within a club length
of the selected ball. Continue to select the
best shot; each player hits from that
position (including putts) until a ball is
in the hole.
Total the number of shots (including the
first two shots) on each hole. This is the
team score for that hole and is your team’s
gross score.
Add the total for each nine holes, and
then the total of all eighteen holes.
Please turn scorecards into the scorer
IMMEDIATELY following your round. Staff
scorers will compute the net scores. Only
official scorecards will be accepted for
scoring.
