2008 Meeting Schedule


Meetings are scheduled from 9:30–11:30 am, at the AGC Center

  • January 11 – Presentation: Washington crane regulations and its affect on Oregon employers. Speaker, Steve Jouwsma, Vice President/Corporate Safety, Sicklestee Crane, Inc.
  • March 14 Associate members are providing a mini–safety trade show.
  • May 9 – Crisis Management at Its Best. Speaker: Carollee McReynolds, public safety coordinator for PacifiCorp. Information and registration form.

Business Plan


Government
  • Develop/retain relationships with regulators
  • Coordinate at least one AGC/OR-OSHA Task Force Meeting yearly
  • Keep members informed of new regulations, OR-OSHA policies and initiatives
  • Provide legislative support WC and safety issues

Performance & Recognition

  • Maintain recognition/award programs – ROSE, CSEA, NASA, WC achievements

Training & Education
  • Provide general safety/regs advice to AGC members
  • Incorporate safety related training/education presentation into each meeting
  • Provide training seminars on timely topics identified by the council\
  • Host AGCA training seminars when made available
New Products
  • In conjunction with Group Products Team, evaluate feasibility of endorsing new products such as a safety tracking program, insurance tracking, etc.
