Construction Industry Opportunity Council

Mission:
Develop and support women, minority-owned and ESB construction businesses by collaborating in a variety of public-private partnerships.

BUSINESS PLAN


Community Involvement

  • Sponsor and participate in key, strategic events (e.g., National Minority Enterprise Development Week, OAME Trade Show)

AGC Education

  • Sponsor educational seminars and brown bags for women, minority owned and emerging small contractors that focus on the business skills needed to be successful. Speakers will be AGC Associate members or staff.

AGC Membership

  • Recruit protégés, SMP participants and OAME contractor members to join AGC and participate in its activities, such as Annual Meeting and the Young Constructor’s Forum and other committees
  • Sponsor Protégé members at AGC Annual Meeting

Program Support

  • Participate in Port’s semi-annual M-P Meetings

  • Participate in City of Portland/Multnomah County SMP program

  • Recruit new mentors from AGC membership for Port M-P program
