Benefits to Becoming an Apprentice

Learn valuable skills while earning progressively increasing wages!

Construction jobs are family wage jobs with good benefits, and the industry pays wages while the craft is being learned. Apprentices earn a percentage of journey level wages, typically starting at about 50% of the journey worker wage. Journey level wages range from $14–$22 (or more) per hour.

If you go into construction you have a career for life. Skills can be easily transferable to a variety of careers within the industry, including craft workers, supervisors and project managers, and industry support staff, as well as design and engineering personnel.

Career opportunities exist in both rural and urban areas, and construction skills are employed throughout the United States and everywhere in the world.
