What are Work Types?

Members are divided into 18 different work types. 16 of the work types are conventional CSI Codes. Two additional categories have been created for Professional Services and General Contractors, which are listed by type of work done. Members choose work types when they join AGC, and have the opportunity to update those listings at any time.

What are CSI Codes?

The "CSI Masterformat" is a master list of numbers and titles for organizing information about construction requirements, products, and activities into a standard sequence. There are 16 divisions followed by main categories for each division. Each main category may be broken down into subcategories. A particular type of work or a list of products may be shown under a division, main category or subcategory. The main categories are intended to serve both as indicators or areas not exactly covered. Listings may be made under the numbered categories and/or subcategories.
